A Big Project with Big Benefits!

The Big Six Mile Creek Marina Project is well underway. 

Earth work has been ongoing over the past weeks, reshaping the marina parking and green space areas. Power infrastructure, temporary and permanent fueling stations and the septic system are also currently being worked.  In addition, The Chandler has a new look and is getting both an interior and exterior makeover. Things are looking grand at Big Six Marina and from the length of our waiting list, there is no doubt people are already recognizing that this will be one of the premier marinas in Western New York!

As a reminder!!! The marina is an active construction site and remains CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC. 

Vehicles, visitors are not allowed in the marina park at this time.

Exciting news!!

Construction at Big Six Mile Creek Marina is underway. 
 
The old fuel tank has been already been removed, asbestos abatement has been completed in The Chandler and they are getting started on the rest of the project that includes new lighting, new parking and pavement, a new boat launch, a renovation of The Chandler and the addition of an ADA compliant bathroom and shower, remediation of drainage issues, upper tier parking for trailers and overflow parking, and landscaping on the water’s edge, among other things.
 
There is no doubt that a project of this magnitude with the long term benefits and beautification will result in some disruption and frustration this summer. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience but we are confident that it will be worth it in the end.
 
Slip holders will have until June 1st to get their boats in the water at Big Six and then access for boat removal after September 6th.
 

THE BOAT LAUNCH WILL BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC THIS ENTIRE SUMMER.

 
The Chandler will be open and selling provisions, beer and gas at the beginning of the season in May.  We will keep you informed along the way and we assure you that the contractor, NY State Parks and Montana International will do everything in their power to make this project as least disruptive as possible.
 
The best part is that when this is all over, Big Six Mile Creek Marina will be one of the premier marinas in Western New York!
